SUBJECT: Boys and Girls Club Update
Councilmember Thompson is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Elk
River Boys and Girls Club. Councilmember Motin is also on the Board of
Directors.
As portrayed on the front page of the April 14, 1999, Star News, a special
ceremony was held Thursday, April 8, 1999, in honor of the beginning of
construction on the Boys and Girls Club in Lions Park. The project is
expected to be completed and open by late summer.

Councilmember Thompson and/or Motin will provide an update on activities
and projects at this April 19, 1999, meeting.
