VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
May 9, 1899
Village Council met at Recorder’s office at 8 o’clock.
Present: H.C. Hastings, President; H.D. Mills, Trustee; Chas. M. Babcock, Rec.
Meeting was called to order for the purpose of making arrangements for maintaining and running
ferry.
On motion Chas. Daugherty was appointed to run the ferry at rates as made with Mr. Hare and in a
consideration of the sum of $15.00 per month to be paid to him out of the Village Treasury, order

to be drawn on the 9 day of each month, and Rec. instructed to draw same.
No further business offering, adjourned.
