VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
May 8, 1899
Village Council met at Recorder’s office at 8:30.
Present: H.C. Hastings, Pres.; H.D. Mills, Trustee; Chas. M. Babcock, Rec.
Bill of Chas. M. Babcock for cash paid out of spec. fund, $8.49, was allowed and order drawn for
the amount.
Resignation of Chet Nickerson as Trustee of the Village Council was accepted.
On motion Recorder was instructed to make arrangements with Chas. Daugherty in regard to ferry.
On motion a petition asking for a sidewalk from the corner of the new \[bank?\] block on the north
side of Main Street to the corner of Park Street, where there is none at present, was granted and
ordinance ordered drawn for same.
