Background/Discussion
Case Nos. CU 17-08, P 17-03, and ZC 17-03.
Staff and the applicant continue to work on a comprehensive redevelopment plan for the block west of
Proctor Avenue, south of the railroad, and east of Quinn Avenue. The applicant has agreed to an
additional one-month delay in the review of their application to provide enough time for the city to
finalize their portion of the partnership.
The city has begun the process to establish a redevelopment TIF district which will facilitate the project
by assisting with the financing for the city road, utilities, and stormwater infrastructure needed to
complete this project. Formal approvals and additional details regarding the next steps in the process are
included later on the current agenda. It is staff’s goal to move this process along as quickly as possible in
order to allow the applicant to begin building this summer.
Statutory Review Period
Per State Statute §15.99, the required 60-day review period was extended to June 27, 2017.
