VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING September 25, 1900 Regular meeting of the Village Council at 3 P.M. Present: H.C. Hastings, President; Henry Castle, J.S. Guerney; R.E. Dare, Village Recorder. The road committee were instructed to do work on Ferry hill and Main St. and have pipe laid into Park. The Recorder was instructed to have lamper take lamp in front of Harry Babcock’s and put in place one in front of Union Church, and have Mr. Opitz remove jail cage from building at a cost not to exceed $2.00 The following bills were allowed and ordered paid: W.H. Houlton & Co., pipe, $80.78 B.L. Babcock & Sons, $50.44 W.B. Eaton, st. lighter, $15.00 \[for\] Sept. R.E. Dare, Rec.
