VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
August 16, 1900
Special meeting of the Village Council at the Bank at 11 A.M.
Present: H.C. Hastings, President; Henry Castle, J.H. Romdeune; R.E. Dare, Village
Recorder.
The matter of Marshal was talked over. It was the opinion of the majority that it was necessary to
keep one, and the President was instructed to inform Grant.
The road committee was instructed to fill in hollow between the Gearhart place and the old Baptist
Church, also to repair Ferry Hill and hire Mr. Horton to mow weeds.
The Recorder was instructed to order ½ doz. burners and valves for street lamps.
On motion Recorder was instructed to draw warrant favor Gust Bohlin, same to apply as part
payment of contract for \[Pausting?\] Bridge.
