10-17-1903 VCM VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING October 17, 1903 Special meeting of the Council was held in the office of the village on Sat., Oct. 17, at 3 P.M., for the purpose of passing judgment on the fire apparatus. Present: C.Q. Scoborio, Pres.; Perry Clute, J.E. McBride and A.A. Opitz, Trustees \[H.B. Nickerson, Village Recorder, not present\]. Mr. W.M. Gibson, representing the Waterous Fire Engine Works of St. Paul, was present. On motion of A.A. Opitz, it was voted to accept the fire apparatus and that an order be drawn for one thousand dollars ($1000.00) as first payment, as per contract. A letter was presented from the Waterous Fire Engine Works authorizing the Village Council to issue an order to W.M. Gibson for one thousand dollars ($1000.00), which was accordingly done. Adjourned.
