VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
Minutes of Village Election
January 10, 1905
Pursuant to notice posted of Village Election to be held in Odd Fellows Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 10,
1905, the Judges of Election and Village Recorder met at the above-named place.
Judges present, Justus DeBooy and H.B. Nickerson, members of Village Council, and W.F.
Chadbourne, Village Recorder.
The pools were opened at one o’clock and balloting proceeded until four o’clock P.M., with the
following result:
A.H. Nickerson, President of Council, rec’d 71 votes.
Justus DeBooy, President of Council, rec’d 60 votes
H.C. Hastings, President of Council, rec’d 4 votes.
A.H. Nickerson was declared elected President.
H.B. Nickerson, Trustee, rec’d 71 votes.
J.H. Romdeune, Trustee, rec’d 71 votes.
Justus DeBooy, Trustee, rec’d 71 votes.
Frank Frye, Trustee, rec’d 64 votes.
Sprague Brown, Trustee, rec’d 64 votes.
George Finch, Trustee, rec’d 64 votes.
H.B. Nickerson was declared elected Trustee.
J.H. Romdeune was declared elected Trustee.
Justus DeBooy was declared elected Trustee.
H.C. Hastings, Recorder, rec’d 69 votes.
W.F. Chadbourne, Recorder, rec’d 66 votes.
H.C. Hastings was declared elected Recorder.
E.H. Davis, Justice of the Peace, rec’d 69 votes.
A.A. Opitz, Justice of the Peace, rec’d 3 votes.
E.H. Davis was declared duly elected Justice.
