VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
April 25, 1906
At a special meeting of the Village Council held at the store of R.E. Dare, the following-named were
present:
Present: R.E. Dare, President; S.M. Crockett, Justus de Booy and W.P. Rhoda, Trustees;
H.C. Hastings, Village Recorder.
The meeting was called to order by the President stating that it was for the purpose of appointing a
Village Assessor.
Mr. Justus de Booy nominated J.L.A. Nickerson for Village Assessor, which nomination was
seconded by the other Trustees, and Mr. Nickerson was appointed by a unanimous vote of the
Council.
The Recorder was instructed by a vote of the Council to notify Mr. Nickerson at once of this
appointment. Also to notify the County Auditor of the appointment of Mr. Nickerson as Village
Assessor.
