VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
June 16, 1906
At a special meeting of the Common Council, the following-named were present. The meeting was
held at the store of R.E. Dare.
Present: R.E. Dare, President; S.M. Crockett and W.P. Rhoda, Trustees; H.C. Hastings,
Village Recorder.
On motion of W.P. Rhoda and seconded by S.M. Crockett, it was voted that in view of their being a
vacancy in the office of Justice of the Peace for the Village, that H.C. Hastings be appointed to fill
such vacancy and that he give a bond in the sum of $500, and the Prest. \[President\] declaired \[sic\]
him appointed to fill the vacancy in the said office.
Ordinance No. 52, being an ordinance to change the established grade on Depot Street from Oak
Street to Hope Street, was adopted by a vote of the Council and signed by the President and
Recorder.
