10-04-1906 VCM VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING October 4, 1906 At a special meeting of the Common Council of the Village of Elk River held at R.E. Dare’s furniture store, the following-named members were present: Present: R.E. Dare, President; S.M. Crockett, Trustee; H.C. Hastings, Village Recorder. On motion it was voted that the Council employ W.B. Eaton to care for and light seven (7) street lamps at $10.00 per month till some other arraingment \[sic\] is made for lighting the streets. The following bills were presented and on motion allowed: C.D. Lashbrook, Judge of Election at primary election, $5.25 F.D. Waterman, Judge of Election at primary election, $5.25 W.F. Chadbourne, Judge of Election at primary election, $5.25 H.D. Hastings, Clerk of Election at primary election, $5.25 N.D. Trumbull, Peace Officer of Election at primary election, $3.00 Leo Lighting Co., globes and mantles for street lamps, $4.90 John Bither, work on fire engine, $1.00 Adjourned. H.C.
