VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
November 9, 1906
At a special meeting of the Common Council of the Village of Elk River held at R.E. Dare’s
furniture store, the following members were present, viz.:
Present: R.E. Dare, President; S.M. Crockett and W.P. Rhoda, Trustees; H.C. Hastings,
Village Recorder.
The following bills were presented and on motion were allowed:
A.A. Opitz, sundries as per bill recd., $8.00
W.F. Chadbourne, Judge of Election, $6.35
C.D. Lashbrook, Judge of Election, $6.35
F.D. Waterman, Judge of Election, $6.35
H.C. Hastings, Clerk of Election, $6.35
C.W. Hayden, Clerk of Election, $6.35
N.D. Trumbull, Peace Office of Election, $3.00
Romdeune & Co., sundries as per bill recd., $12.95
Jeff Gray, piling for ice break, $5.00
R.E. Dare, sundries as per bill recd., $11.95
S.M. Crockett, wood, etc., as per bill recd., $7.50
Elk River Lumber Co., lumber, $67.25

On motion it was voted that S.M. Crockett be a committee of one to look after the work necessary
to be done on the streets and sidewalks and to arrange with some suitable person to take charge of
the work.
