VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
Minutes of Village Election
January 9, 1906
Pursuant to notices posted of Village Election to be held in the Grand Army Hall in Houlton’s
th
Block on Tuesday, the 9 day of January 1906.
The Judges of Election and Village Recorder met at the above-named place.
Judges present: Justus de Booy and H.B. Nickerson, members of the Village Council and H.C.
Hastings, Village Recorder.
The polls were opened at one o’clock P.M. and balloting proceeded until four (4) o’clock P.M., with
the following result:*
R.E. Dare elected President of the Village Council.
S.M. Crockett elected Trustee.
Justus de Booy elected Trustee.
W.P. Rhoda elected Trustee.
H.C. Hastings elected Recorder.
Andrew Davis elected Treasurer.
E.H. Davis elected Justice of the Peace.
