Minutes of Village Election
January 8, 1907
Pursuant to notices posted of Village Election to be held in Small Hall in Phoenix Block on
th
Tuesday, January 8, 1907, the Judges of Election and Village Recorder met at the above-named
place.
Judges present: Justus de Booy, member of the Village Council, who had within twenty days before
such time been designated and appointed by the Village Recorder to act as one of the Judges of such
Election, and C.D. Lashbrook, duly elected by viva vose vote at the time of opening of the pools;
who, being present with the Recorder as Clerk of Election, at the hour of one o’clock P.M., each of
them duly took and subscribed an oath to faithfully discharge the duties required of them at such
Election; and the Judges and Clerk being duly qualified, forthwith opened the pools by
proclamation, and the Election proceeded by ballot without adjournment or intermission until
closed at four o’clock P.M., with the following result.
R.E. Dare received 26 votes for President of Council.
R.E. Dare was declared elected President of Council.
S.M. Crockett received 26 votes for Trustee.
W.P. Rhoda received 24 votes for Trustee.
Justus de Booy received 25 votes for Trustee.
Frank Salter received 1 vote for Trustee.
C.D. Lashbrook received 1 vote for Trustee.
S.M. Crockett was declared elected Trustee.
W.P. Rhoda was declared elected Trustee.
Justus de Booy was declared elected Trustee.
H.J. Heebner received 25 votes for Treasurer.
H.J. Heebner was declared elected Treasurer.
W.F. Chadbourne received 26 votes for Recorder.
W.F. Chadbourne was declared elected Recorder.
J.L.A. Nickerson received 26 votes for Assessor.
J.L.A. Nickerson was declared elected Assessor.
H.C. Hastings received 25 votes for Justice of the Peace.
H.C. Hastings was declared elected Justice of the Peace.
