SUBJECT: East Elk River Update
.
Under this agenda topic I would like to update the City Council on the status
of right-of-way and easement acquisition for the utility and street project.
Included in the update will be a review of the acquisition of the Brown
property as it relates to the total acquisition price, the property financed by
federal street monies, and the property to be financed over time by way of the
development fund. Additionally, the development fund is anticipated to
finance the acquisition of the Kirkeide house and property, but, unfortunately,
we seem to be a long way away from each other on price, and consequently,
this acquisition may not be consummated. In this regard we may have to find
a way to complete the sewer project and avoid the Kirkeide property.
The update will also include the acquisition status of the property north of
County Road 12, plus which easements have been obtained and which remain
to be pursued for the properties along Highway 10, south of County Road 12.
