Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Lindsay Brandner for the position of Senior Administrative Assistant
for the city’s Police Department effective June 12, 2017.
Background/Discussion
Following the resignation of Amy Humphrey, we went to market to fill our Senior Administrative
Assistant position for the police department. We received 101 applications and interviewed 25
candidates. Following additional interviews, background and pre-employment testing, Lindsay Brandner
is recommended for the position.
Ms. Brandner has been working in an office support position at Karner Blue Education Center for the
past two years. Prior to that, she worked in a similar position at Sibley Elementary and as an Account
Representative at Freightmasters. Ms. Brandner holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Ms. Brandner will start at step A of pay grade 6 and will be eligible for a step increase after a successful
orientation period. All pay and benefits will be consistent with city policy.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
