Action Requested
Approve, by motion, a Public Display of Fireworks/Pyrotechnic License for RES Specialty Pyrotechnics
to conduct a pyrotechnic display from the Elk River High School football field for the Independence Day
holiday with the following conditions:
1. Fire watch shall be established per direction of the fire marshal.
2. Applicant must contact Fire Marshal Cliff Anderson at 763.238.3489 to schedule pre-loading and
post-loading inspections.
Background/Discussion
RES Specialty Pyrotechnics applied, on behalf of the city, for a Public Display of Fireworks/Pyrotechnics
License in order to conduct fireworks from the Elk River High School football field for the
Independence Day holiday.
The Fireworks Operator Certification has been verified with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
The Fire Department has reviewed and approved the site plan.
