Background/Discussion On May, 9, 2017, five bids were received for the Wayfinding Signage project. Based on the information received after the bids were opened, we are asking the City Council to reject all bids and further provide direction to add clarity for prospective bidders. Financial Impact There is no cost associated with the requested action. When new bids are received we will prepare a full list of anticipated project costs. Attachments  Resolution City of Elk River City Council Resolution 17-____ A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River to Reject all Bids Submitted for the Wayfinding Signage Project WHEREAS, five (5) bids were received, opened, and publicly read on Tuesday, May 9, 2017; and WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the bids which ranged from $558,896.92 to $795,463. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The bids received on May 9, 2017, are hereby rejected. 2. Previous bid documents shall be modified to add clarity for prospective bidders. 3. The city clerk shall prepare and obtain publication of an advertisement for bids for the making of improvements pursuant to the revised bid. The amended bid document shall be advertised for a minimum of 10-days, shall specify the work to be done, and shall state the bids will be received by 2:00 p.m. on July 24, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. th Passed and adopted this 5 day of June, 2017.
