Background/Discussion
The City of Elk River purchased the waste widget ‘Recycle Coach’, to assist residents with recycling.
The program offers a website and app for mobile devices that provides clear information about curbside
trash and recycling, scheduling changes, and where to dispose of odd items. The app is customized for
the hauling schedule in Elk River and provides alerts to residents to remind them of weekly service or
changes in service.
City staff and ERMU staff are able to edit content, send reminders, and provide information to residents
via the app.
We currently have 119 users.
