ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
March 21, 1922
The Town Board of Elk River Township met at the Bank of Elk River to qualify the officers elect
\[sic\] for the coming year.
Present: B.A. Gray, Chairman; David Anderson and Chas. Hinz, Supervisors; R.R. Simpson,
Town Clerk.
The oath of office of David Anderson was filed; also oath and bond of R.R. Simpson. E.G. Palmer’s
oath and bond were left at bank for his and bondsmen’s signatures, where they were duly signed and
approved and filed with the Register of Deeds. The clerk \[sic\] bond was filed with the Clerk Court.
Ballot being taken for Chairman of the Town Board, Mr. Hinz received two vote \[sic\] and Mr. Gray
one. Mr. Hinz declined the office in favor of Mr. Gray, who will be Chairman of the Board for the
ensuing year.

The clerk was instructed to notify W.R. Jones to be present at the meeting of the Board on April 1
and qualify as Assessor.
