Approve,by motion, the License Agreement with the Sherburne County Agricultural Society.
Background/Discussion
The Sherburne County Agricultural Society ("Fair Board") contacted the city this spring in order to
review the current condition of the parking lot area at the fairgrounds.
Currently the parking lot drains to a city-owned stormwater pond and with the proposed fill it will do the
same and will have less muddy areas. As listed in the agreement, the Fair Board and the City of Elk River
want to formalize this agreement regarding the proposed fill, drainage to the city stormwater basin, and in
return the city's use of this parking area for depositing of snow.
We have used the lot in the past under a handshake agreement. Both parties agreed to formalize mutual
use agreements for public record.
