SUBJECT: Request by LaRose's Pizza to Sell
Strong Beer
LaRose's Pizza and Pasta has made an application for an on-sale strong beer
license. Minnesota state law and city ordinance allows a holder of an on-sale wine
license who is also licensed to sell 3.2 percent beer at on-sale, and whose gross
receipts are at least 60 percent attributable to the sale of food, to sell strong beer at
on-sale without an additional license. As LaRose's Pizza and Pasta meets these
requirements and has provided their certificate of liability insurance, the only
requirement for issuing this license is council approval.

Council motion to approve the request by LaRose's Pizza and Pasta to sell on-sale
strong beer.
