RE: TYLER STREET NO PARKING RESOLUTION
CITY OF ELK RIVER
Dear Mr. Klaers:
We have recently submitted the plans to Mn/DOT to start the initial review on the Tyler Street
project. As you are aware, this is a federally funded project done in the Municipal State Aid
format. Because of that the Office of State Aid will be requiring a no parking resolution since the
design does not account for any on street parking. The attached resolution is in the Mn/DOT
format and does restrict parking on Tyler Street from 171s1 Avenue at the railroad track to the
connection with CSAH 13 at the north end. We would recommend City Council adoption of this
resolution.

RESOLUTION 99-
RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON
S.P. 204-133-01 and S.P. 204-020-03 (Tyler Street) from 1715t Avenue N.W. to existing CSAH
13 in the City of Elk River, Minnesota.
WHEREAS, THIS RESOLUTION was passed this 9th day of August, 1999, by the
City of Elk River in Sherburne County, Minnesota. The Municipal Corporation shall hereinafter
be called the "City", WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the "City", has planned the improvement of Tyler Street, Municipal State Aid
Street No. 133 from 1715t Avenue NW to CSAH 12 and County State Aid Highway No. 13 from
CSAH 12 to existing CSAH 13 in the City of Elk River, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the "City" will be expending Municipal State Aid Funds on the improvements
. of this Street; and
WHEREAS, this improvement does not provide adequate width for parking on both sides
of the street; and approval of the proposed construction as a Municipal State Aid Street project
must therefore be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED:
That the "City" shall ban the parking of motor vehicles on both sides of the street at all times.
Passed and adopted by the City of the City of Elk River this 9th day of August, 1999.
