Background/Discussion
Spohn Ranch has completed preliminary designs for the Orono Park skate park. They have been directed
to delay completing the final designs until the Orono Park Master plan is updated and approved by the
Council. The Orono Park Master plan is now complete so Spohn Ranch can be directed to finalize the
design. Due to the impact of the updated Orono Park Master plan and the Hwy 10 construction project,
adjustments may need to be made to the plan.
The skate park was included in the parks referendum that failed to pass last fall so currently it is an
unfunded project.
Representatives from the skate park user groups will be on hand to address the Commission regarding
the future of the park.
