PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
TOWN OF ELK RIVER
March 13, 1928
Board met for regular meeting of the town of Elk River, at the Courthouse.
Meeting was called to order by the Clerk. On motion Fred Sachs was chosen Moderator.
Treasurer’s report was read and approved.
On motion the following sums were voted for:
Revenue Fund $250.00
Road and Bridge Fund $1700.00
Ditch Fund $600.00
Poor Fund None
Assessor’s fees $150.00
After a general discussion of roads and road work, the polls were declared open at 10:30 A.M. and
remained open until 4:00 P.M., at which time polls were declared closed by the Moderator.
Ballots were then counted and checked, showing the following results. A total of 23 ballots were
voted, of which:
Oscar Engstrom received 22 votes and was declared elected Supervisor for 3 yrs.
F.E. Sellon received 23 votes and was declared elected Clerk for 2 yrs.
E.G. Palmer received 23 votes and was declared elected Treasurer for 1 yr.
