SUBJECT: Out of State Conference
I would like to request City Council permission for Assistant Street/Park
Superintendent Mark Thompson to attend the National Conference of the
American Public Works Association in Denver, Colorado, from September 19-
22, 1999.
The APW A offers excellent training opportunities with a choice of over 150
topics. There are funds in the 1999 budget for training and I feel that this
would be a very worthwhile investment of city dollars for continuing
education.
. Recommendation
City Council approval for Mark Thompson to attend the National APWA
Conference in Denver, Colorado, September 19-22, 1999.
