PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
TOWN OF ELK RIVER
March 11, 1930
Annual Town Meeting held at Courthouse in Elk River.
Meeting called to order by Clerk and J.E. Bloomdahl was chosen as Moderator.
After Moderator stated the order of business, the Treasurer’s report was read and approved and
Board of Audits reccommendations \[sic\] presented after which a discussion of snow fence was taken
up and on vote board was instructed to buy minimum carload of fence after which the levies were
voted as follows:
Road & Bridge \[Fund\] $2000.00
Revenue \[Fund\] 500.00
Ditch \[Fund\] 550.00
Poor \[Fund\] None
On vote the Assessor’s salary was fixed at $150.00 for 1930.
After a discussion of weed control motion was carried to adjourn and polls were then declared open.
Polls declared closed at 4 P.M. and ballots canvassed with following results:
Supervisor 3 yrs. L.G. Lamm 13 votes
Clerk 2 yrs. F.E. Sellon 13 votes
Organization meeting to be held Sat. Mar. 15, 1930.
