Background/Discussion On May 15, 2017, on-call firefighter Zachary Hoffman was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. Lieutenant Hoffman was appointed by Chief Cunningham based on his background, training, and experience with input from an interview panel. Mayor Dietz is asked to administrator the Oath of Office to Lieutenant Hoffman. Following the Oath, Lieutenant Hoffman’s badge will be pinned to his uniform.
