RE: INDUSTRIAL PARK SIDEWALK
CITY OF ELK RIVER
Dear City Council Members:
As you are aware we have previously presented the bid results on the Industrial Park Sidewalk
to the City Council. There were only two bidders on the project with the low bid over the budget
amount for this work. The reason for the higher bid and lower number of bidders for the project
was the timeframe in which the project was to be completed and the amount of work for
concrete companies. We have worked closely with Paul Steinman on this issue and have
determined that the best course of action at this point of time is to reject all of the bids and
perhaps come back at a later time to undertake the sidewalk improvement. Therefore we would
request the City Council pass a motion rejecting the bids for the Industrial Park Sidewalk.
