Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Nicholas Madsen to the position of On-call Firefighter effective
October 2, 2017.
Background/Discussion
In February we hired three new firefighters. One candidate resigned his position in May. We re-
interviewed candidates from the February hiring and recommend Nicholas Madsen for this position. Mr.
Madsen has completed all of the required pre-employment screening. He will begin the Fire Academy on
October 2, 2017.
Financial Impact
This is a budgeted position.
