ACTION REQUESTED:

DISCUSSION:
• Delivered 14 new water meters.
• Sealed the water meter, and took curb stop ties from eight water services.
• Completed 25 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples
o All confirmed negative for Coliform Bacteria
o Bacteriological/Disinfectant Residual Monthly Report submitted to the MDH
• Completed 20 routine fluoride samples
o All samples met MDH standards
o Submitted MDH Fluoride Report
• Completed the MDH required THM/HAA5 samples at both of our monitoring locations.
• Submitted MPCA Discharge Monitoring Report(DMR) for the Diesel Generation Plant.
• Well#6 has been reinstalled. The meter, which also needs to be replaced, is on order and
expected to be in within a few weeks.
• All of the leaking hydrants that were identified in the leak detection survey have now
been repaired.
• The last of the punch list items have been completed at the Water Treatment Plant#7
Expansion; the final pay application has also been submitted. The job will be closed out
in the coming weeks.
• The installation of the water main along Highway 10 between Simonet Drive and Xenia
Avenue began on September 8. The connection will take place the week of October 17.
All of this work is being performed by ERMU staff.
• Throughout the month of September the tainter gates at the dam will be getting painted.
We will be lowering the lake roughly three feet on October 4 to complete the annual
inspection of the dam.
