MONDAY, JULY 15, 1996

Mayor Duitsman, Councilmembers Dietz, Scheel, Farber, and
Holmgren
Members Absent: None
Staff Present:
Lori Johnson, Assistant City Administrator; Sandra Thackeray, City
Clerk; Tom Zerwas, Police Chief
Mayor Duitsman called the closed meeting of the City, Council to order. Mayor Duitsman
indicated that the closed meeting was being held pursuant to Section 471.705,
Subdivision 1al(d) to evaluate the performance of police department employee L.inda
Johnson.
Police Chief Tom Zerwas reviewed with the City Council performance issues of police
department employee Linda .lohnson. Following this review, it was the consensus of the
City Council to terminate 1he employment of Linda Johnson with the police deparTr,-nent
effective July 12, 1996.
COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADJOURN THE CLOSED MEETING OF THE ELK
RIVER CITY COUNCIL. COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION
CARRIED 5--0,,
The closed meeting of the City Council adjourned at 6:14 p.m.
