Update the Library Board on the status of 2017 capital improvement projects. Review patio furniture
options for purchase in 2018 as part of the library capital improvement plan.
Background/Discussion
The Library parking lot curb project was completed on September 17 with new curbing being installed
along the center rain garden and along the Orono Parkway side of the parking lot.
The new trail segment connecting the Library to 183rd Ave NW was also completed to provide paved
pedestrian access to the parking lot from the adjacent residential neighborhood to the south.
The 2018 Library CIP included an item for new permanent patio furniture to be purchased for the
exterior of the library grounds not to exceed $10,000. Staff will provide options for permanent patio
furniture for review of the library board and discussion.
