Currently, the unwritten policy I follow is to respond to the e-mail author by indicating that I have forwarded their letter to the council. In some cases, if the letter or concern is directed to a specific department, the letter is also forwarded to the department. As an example, the letter regarding the nuisance complaint was also forwarded to Steve Rohlf's department. If the council wishes to respond to the e-mail, it can do so on its own or contact me and I will be glad to send an e-mail response. Some of the e-mail received will not require responses. E-mail is a way for citizens to voice their opinions to their council representatives. It has come to my attention that members of your community exclaimed that yours was not a 'Rich City' and therefore financial cuts had to be made. This is a pitiful and sorry excuse. You are essentially leaving the most pitiful, weakest of your citizens in what can easily be described as 'dire situations'. With this low appropiation for DOMESTIC ABUSE you have certainly proven you are a POOR CITY...POOR in compassion; POOR in conscience; and POOR in understanding for your fellow man and woman and helpless children.
