ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
March 14, 1942
The Town Board of Elk River Twp. met as Board of Organization with all members present.
Present: \[not listed\]
Louis J. Specht took oath as Supervisor for three years. Kenneth E. Sellon, with Earl R. Sellon and
J.E. Bloomdahl, took oath as clerk for two years. Oscar Engstrom was named chairman for the
ensuing year.
The application of H.L. McKeen for a license to sell beer at Camp Cozy was approved after
discussion.

There was some discussion of road repairing and maintenance following which the Board went out
to view the fences on the Orville Bernard road. It was found that the ditch banks had caved outside
of the road limits on the Clarence Robbins property. The Board agreed to re-slope the banks so the
fence could be set on the back slope. This was agreeable to Mr. Robbins and no damages were
claimed for the additional land needed.
