Background/Discussion After a number of years, Sherburne County is in the process of updating and clarifying their formally adopted Construction Cost Participation Policy. In summary, Sherburne County compared their existing policy to the metro counties as well as neighboring counties. Staff will assemble any comments the Council provides and forward to the county for their consideration as they finalize this draft policy. Traffic Signals will be funded up to 50%of the local share on County Highways and County State Aid Highways. Traffic Signals on Trunk Highways will be funded up to 50% of the remaining local share. The Geunty will nGtCity/Twp shall be responsible for certain maintenance provisions after signal construction including power costs. LQ***Federal Cost Sharing Example: If the municipal cost participation items amount to 25% of the project costs—25% of the Federal Funds may be applied toward the municipal cost participation items that are eligible for federal funding. (3) Includes RNV acquisition on road construction projects that contain a bike path or sidewalk. For standalone trail and sidewalk projects, RNV acquisition would be the responsibility of the agency leading the project. County Participation is subject to the availability of funds. All participation includes construction, preliminary engineering and construction engineering costs.
