SUBJECT: Library Board Appointment
Library Board appointments are made by the Mayor upon approval
of the City Council. Two appointments are necessary to complete
the five-member Board. Both appointments will be made for three-
year terms running from January 1,2000 to December 31,2002.
. General Information:
Library Board terms end with the fiscal year which is dictated by
Minnesota Statute. The city currently does not have an ordinance
relating to the library board. The library board runs by by-laws and
State Statute. The City will be proposing to adopt an ordinance
relating to the Library Board during the time the Code is recodified.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Appointment of two library board members for three-year terms to
expire on December 31, 2002.
