SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL
HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 1995

1. Call Meetina To Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. the special meeting of the Elk River City
Council was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Vice Mayor Scheel.
2. Consider February 13, 1995, City Council Agenda
It was the consensus of the City Council to approve the February 13, 1995,
agenda.

COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS
FOLLOWS:

COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
5. Library Board Candidates
The City Clerk indicated that the City has received applications from two people
indicating their interest in serving on the Library Board. She stated that following
John Dietz's resignation from the Library Board there will be two vacancies - one
two-year term and one three-year term.
The City Council interviewed the two applicants for the Library Board - Linda
Ritchie and Ellen Kretsch.

COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ACCEPT THE JOHN DIETZ'S RESIGNATION
FROM THE LIBRARY BOARD. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0.

COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPOINT ELLEN KRETSCH TO THE LIBRARY
BOARD FOR A THREE YEAR TERM EXPIRING ON DECEMBER 31, 1998, AND TO
APPOINT LINDA RITCHIE TO THE LIBRARY BOARD FOR A TWO- YEAR TERM EXPIRING
ON DECEMBER 31, 1996. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE
MOTION CARRIED 3-0.

Adiournment
There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO
ADJOURN THE MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE
MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
The meeting of the Elk River City Council was adjourned at 6:08 p.m.
