PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
TOWN OF ELK RIVER
March 14, 1944
The Annual Town meeting of the Town of Elk River was held at the Court House in Elk River.
Mrs. A.L. Powell was elected as Moderator. Reports of Treas. and Board of Audit were heard and
accepted.
Taxes voted for the ensuing year were:
R & B \[Road and Bridge\] Fund $500.00
Revenue Fund 250.00
Ditch Fund 100.00
E.G. Palmer was elected to act as Judge of Town election and A.L. Powell elected to act as Clerk.
Polls were opened to elect a successor to Orville Bernard as Supervisor and Kenneth E. Sellon as
Clerk.
Polls were closed at four o’clock and ballots counted, showing the following results:
