Review of the Woodland Trails Master Plan
Background/Discussion
The City Council directed the Parks and Recreation Commission to review the trails master plan and
develop a more comprehensive and detailed master plan showing the alignment, connections, and side of
the street for future trail expansion. Staff and the commission reviewed potential trail corridors,
connections, crossing points, and alignments throughout the city during the May 10 and September 13
Parks and Recreation Commission meeting.
Staff recommends that the Parks and Recreation Commission review updates and edits to the trails
master plan which were discussed at the September 13,2017 and finalize recommendations to be
submitted for review at the site plan meeting in December. At the site plan meeting, staff from the
Planning, Environmental and Engineering Departments will review the proposed trails master plan and
provide recommendations and feedback for the commission to review in January.
