EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL
HELD AT THE ELK RIVER PUBLIC LIBRARY
MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 1993
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Mayor Duitsman, Councilmembers Dietz, Scheel, Farber, and
Holmgren
MEMBERS ABSENT:
None
STAFF PRESENT:
Pat Klaers, City Administrator; Sandra Thackeray, City
Clerk; Terry Maurer, City Engineer; and Peter Beck, City
Attorney
Mayor Duitsman called the meeting of the Executive Session to order at 9:51
p.m.
The City Attorney updated the Council on the following litigation items
pertaining to the City of Elk River:
Resolution of the Mike Boelter Towing disagreement.
Elk River Landfill litigation regarding minor amendments to the
conditional use permit and license and payment of fees to the City of
Elk River.
Jerry Smith Deerfield Additions and drainage problems.
Bud Houlton appeal of assessments for the western area improvement
project.
Earl Hohlen pending litigation for road acquisition associated with the
Main Street and Highway 169 signalization project.
Mayor Duitsman informed the Council that UPA is proposing a major expansion
to their facility.
There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO CLOSE THE
EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE
MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
The Executive Session closed at 10:24 p.m.
