EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL
HELD AT ELK RIVER CITY HALL
TUESDAY, MARCH 30, 1993
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Mayor Duitsman, Councilmembers Scheel, Farber, Dietz,
and Holmgren
Members Absent:
None
Staff Present:
Pat Klaers, City Administrator; Terry Maurer, City
Engineer; and Lori Johnson, Finance Director
Mayor Duitsman requested clarification from the City Council on the last
executive session discussion regarding the offer to be made to the Police
Union. Mayor Duitsman indicated that he had concerns regarding future City
budgets. Pat Klaers indicated that he had not yet had an opportunity to
meet with the Union representatives so no City offer had been formally
presented.
COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL MOVED TO GIVE THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR THE LATITUDE TO
NEGOTIATE WITH THE UNION UP TO THE MAXIMUM OFFER AS PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL ON 3/22/93. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION.
THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADJOURN THE EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL. COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
The executive session of the Elk River City Council was adjourned at 9:00
p.m.
