PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
TOWN OF ELK RIVER
March 9, 1948
Town Meeting for the Town of Elk River was held in the Court House in Elk River. Called to order
by Kenneth E. Sellon, Town Clerk, ad B.A. Gray was elected as Moderator.
Financial report was read and accepted. The following levies were voted:
R & B \[Road & Bridge\] fund $1000
Ditch fund $100
Poor fund 1 mill
No Revenue fund was voted because of a large credit for the Township from the liquor tax.
Assessors salary was set at seven ($7.00) per day.
In the voting for town officers Everett L. Specht was elected as Supervisor and Kenneth E. Sellon
as clerk.
