SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL
HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM A
MONDAY, MAY 10, 1993
Members Present:
Mayor Duitsman, Councilmembers Dietz, Holmgren, Farber
and Scheel
Members Absent:
None
Staff Present:
Pat Klaers, City Administrator; Sandra Thackeray, City
Clerk
Also Present:
Bob Minton, Planning Commission Chair
The purpose of this special meeting was to interview the two candidates for
the City Planner position.
The Council interviewed Steven Ach at 6:00 p.m. and Scott Hickok at 6:30 p.m.

the City Council the interview committee
on the 5/6/93 interviews conducted by City
Councilmember Holmgren stated that he was also present during the interviews
held by City staff. He urged the City Council to look at the quality of the
applicants when making a decision.
Following discussion of the applicants, the City Council decided not to make
a decision this evening, but to vote on the applicant to be hired at the May
17, Council meeting.

There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADJOURN THE
MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
The special meeting of the Elk River City Council adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
