PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
TOWN OF ELK RIVER
March 14, 1950
The town board of the twps of Elk River met in annual session for the purpose of Election.
Mrs. A.L. Powell was chosen Moderator and stated the business to be transacted.
It was decided to levy and 8 mill tax for road and bridge purposes.
Following this the balloting for Town Clerk and Supervisor \[was held\]. The results were as follows.
Orville Bernard received eleven (11) votes for Supervisor for 3 years and Everett Rathbun received
12 votes for town clerk\[;\] both having received a majority were declared elected.
Following elections Mrs. Powell declared the polls closed.
