ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
September 2, 1950
Mrs. Frank George met with the board and asked help in the purchase of shoes and other
incidentals amounting to $15.00 this request was approved.

Ernie Toth again appeared before the board and was told the road he had in mind belonged to the
County not the twps. The matter of the township paying the expense of fire calls in the twps. was
discussed and it was agreed to do so until annual meeting when a fund shall be proposed.
The request of the R.E.A. to have part of road from where plant is now located to where it joins the
Highway turned over to them was discussed. It was agreed to do so if a satisfactory arrangement to
provide telephone service for Bernard line past there could be worked out. The hearing on Parent

Road Petition was set for second (2) day of October 1950.
