(Malt Liquor During 2018 National Football League Super Bowl LII SECTION 1. 2017 MN H.F. 1, Art. 11, X19, provides the authority for the city to issue special permits to holders of on -sale intoxicating liquor licenses or 3.2. malt liquor licenses during the 2018 National Football League Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium to allow for the service of alcohol through extended hours until 4:00 a.m. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: The following conditions shall apply to the special permits described in Section 1. a. Only holders of an existing on -sale intoxicating liquor license or 3.2. malt liquor license issued by the city are eligible and shall only be issued upon approval of the city. b. The license shall only be effective during the period from 8:00 a.m., February 2, 2018 through 4:00 a.m., Monday, February 5, 2018. c. At 4:01 a.m., February 5, 2018, the license shall expire and terminate with no further action required by the city. d. The license shall be subject to the conditions, prohibited acts, and penalties set forth in Minn. Stat. Chapter 340A and City Code Chapter 6. e. Application shall be on a form prescribed by the city with a license fee of $100. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption and be published as provided by law.
