DISCUSSION:
• Delivered eight new water meters.
• Sealed the water meter, and took curb stop ties from 23 water services.
• Completed 25 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples
o All confirmed negative for Coliform Bacteria.
o Bacteriological/Disinfectant Residual Monthly Report submitted to the MDH
• Completed 20 routine fluoride samples
o All samples met MDH standards.
o Submitted MDH Fluoride Report
• Submitted MPCA Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) for the Diesel Generation Plant
• The water operators have been locating for the past few months in order to verify
mapping discrepancies in the distribution system. Next spring the water operators will
start on other portions of the system.
• The water operators have started our annual routine of recharging the filters. WTP 6 and
WTP 2 required an addition of media due to the expected loss over the year. The filter
recharging will continue for the next few months on the rest of the filters.
• The WTP 7 expansion has been completed. Final payment has been made.
• The Minnesota Historical Society has approved the grant for the architectural drawings
and plans for the Jackson Street Water Tower. I will continue to work with the City
Planner on this project. Attached is the grant award letter.
