Approve,by motion, the purchase of two 2018 Ford Police Interceptor SUV's for $83,500 with further
authorization to set-up and equip the vehicles with a total cost not to exceed 109,000.
Background/Discussion
One Ford Police Interceptor SUV will be assigned to the Patrol Division due to the additional officers to
be hired and the other to the Investigative Division as a replacement.
The requested approval includes:
■ Patrol Division - 2018 Ford Police Interceptor SUV (State Contract): $26,428.45
■ Emergency vehicle equipment and outfitting: $20,000
■ Command Cabinet: $1,000
■ Computer Technology: $3,500
■ Investigative Division—2018 Ford Police Interceptor SUV: $26,428
■ Emergency lighting and outfitting: $3,000
■ Cameras,radars and computers (for both vehicles): $28,000
Financial Impact
111,500 has been budgeted in the 2018 Equipment Purchases Fund and approved in the 2018 budget.
