PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
TOWN OF ELK RIVER
March 8, 1955
The annual meeting of the Town Board of Elk River was called to order by moderator, A.L. Powell.
The Treas. report was read from March 1954 to March 1955. Accepted as read.
Transfer of the Ditch Fund to the Road & Bridge Fund.
It was moved and seconded $2000 for the Road & Bridge Fund. Carried.
It was moved and seconded no levy for the Revenue Fund. Carried.
It was moved and seconded that the next Annual Town meeting be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Carried.
There was some discussion on bounty on pocket gophers. It was moved and seconded to table the
matter for the time being. Carried.
Election was held for Supervisor for 3 years, Treasurer for 2 years and Assessor for 2 years.
Polls declared closed at 4 p.m. by moderator.
